Why do people still accept Pascal's wager as valid?

Lack of critical thinking and thorough examination of what practicing it means. On the surface it seems to most to be a logical conclusion to make - it is ignorance of what subscription would mean that prevents most from revealing it as the logical fallacy that it is.
