The basic formula is velocity equals frequency times wavelength. The low frequency limit of sound is 20 Hz, thus the wavelength is given by velocity divided by frequency (344 / 20 = 17.2 meters). The high frequency limit of audible sound is 20,000 Hz. By the same procedure, 344 / 20,000 = 0.0172 meters.

Help with smoking at work?

Ok, I just started a new job and I am not allowed to smoke, it is a waitressing job and people that work in the restaurant industry that are smokers can feel me, it can be very stressful and not being able to take that nicotine break is crucial. I was in training last week and having to go in at 7:45 and get off at 4:00 I was pretty good at making excuses to go to my car, but the last day they were training me at the register and I hand't had a cig in 6 hours and wanted to smash the micro screen cause I was ill from it and me wanting a cig. me and this other guy brought up to the manager that not being able to take cigarette breaks during times of stress makes it worse and of course he isn't a smoker and don't get where we are coming from and he just said well what about us non smokers, he don't understand that it's mainly because YOU NEED YOUR NICOTINE AND THEY DON'T!!!! I just need advice on what I can do to help withen these cravings. Thanks.

For starters, in a lot of places erosion is normal and natural. Plus in some places jetties have been known to silt up harbors, by disrupting estuary flows.
