Is God angry with California?

I have been told that God punished the people of Indonesia with the tsunami . Also the people are being punished in Haiti for making a pact with the devil. Now as you know California is having a very hard time with floods and people are dying. Do you think this is God's punishment to the people of California for defeating Proposition 8 and denying gays equal rights to marry.
