Would you go to Bed-Stuy?

I'm showing some photographs tomorrow, and I wasn't worried until my family, who still lives in NY (I'm originally from Queens but moved to New Jersey at twelve) started putting these ideas in my head like Bed-Stuy is the worst place imaginable. The place is on Fulton st. a block from the Nostrand Ave. station.
